Our History
Aquaila began her journey in the financial world nearly 30 years ago. In 1992, Aquaila along with her mom, Gail A. Barnes CPA, founded Barnes Financial Services (BFS) as a family-operated practice based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The mission -- to serve as a premiere financial services firm with a reputation for educating and assisting small businesses and individuals in pursuing their financial goals with personalized accounting, tax and financial planning services.
In the early years, Gail committed to that mission by not only educating clients, but also teaching her children how to become entrepreneurs. Aquaila, along with her two brothers, reaped the benefits of that teaching and expanded the practice by opening offices in other cities and adding additional service offerings. This resulted in BFS building a strong reputation of adding a personalized touch in providing client-tailored services.

Our goal is to procure and protect the financial goals that our clients have individually and corporately. We serve the space for holistic care of our clients financially and creatively as we take into account their financial perceptions. We believe there is a world that supports the success of small business owners and creative entrepreneurs.
